Rowley is provost, vice president for educational affairs and dean at Academics School, Columbia College, in New York, where by she retains a tenured appointment as a professor of psychology and education.

She previously attained each a master’s degree and doctorate in developmental psychology from UVA’s Graduate University of Arts & Sciences.
