Faculty board customers resign from St. Louis, Parkway districts | Schooling

ST. LOUIS — Two users of the St. Louis Faculty Board introduced their resignations this week.

Board president Matt Davis introduced veteran educator Joyce Roberts’ resignation at a assembly Tuesday and thanked her for “everything she’s finished for this board of schooling and the devotion she’s revealed, and further than that, a life span of company to pupils here in the town of St. Louis.”

Roberts was elected to the board in 2018 immediately after doing work as a trainer, principal and assistant superintendent in St. Louis General public Colleges. For the past 12 months, she served as the board’s president. Her term expires in November.

The district introduced Wednesday that retired businesswoman Regina Fowler will also resign from the board. Fowler was appointed by Mayor Lyda Krewson in 2020 and her term expires in April 2023.

In a letter to Davis, Fowler cited politics and collusion amongst board users as the reason for her resignation.
